CYBEX S-Line Platinum Car Seats

The new CYBEX S-Line is the latest generation of CYBEX Platinum car seats, created to support family travel from a baby’s first journey through to the final high-back booster stage.

Replacing the established CYBEX T-Line, the S-Line introduces updated UN R129/04 approval, redesigned Comfort and Style fabrics, improved ventilation and a more flexible modular system built around the new CYBEX Base S.

The range includes the Cloud S infant carrier, Sirona S rotating toddler seat, Anoris S Airbag forward-facing car seat and Solution S high-back booster. Together, these models provide a clear car-seat pathway from birth to approximately 12 years.

The new Base S is central to the system. Parents can begin with the Cloud S and then use the same base with either the rear-facing Sirona S or forward-facing Anoris S Airbag. This gives families more choice at the toddler stage without requiring a completely separate installation platform.

One Base, Three Car Seats

The CYBEX Base S creates a modular system designed to support different stages and travel directions.

Start with the rear-facing Cloud S infant carrier from birth. When your baby outgrows the infant seat, you can continue rear-facing with Sirona S or choose the forward-facing Anoris S Airbag. Both toddler seats use the same Base S previously used with Cloud S.

This is one of the biggest developments from the outgoing T-Line. Base T works with Cloud T and Sirona T, while Anoris T2 uses its own integrated base. Base S brings the Anoris S Airbag into the shared modular system, allowing one base to support three car seats and up to approximately seven years of family travel.

Base S installs using ISOFIX connectors and a load leg. Its onboard safety assistant uses central LED indicators to show the installation status of the ISOFIX connectors and load leg. When Anoris S Airbag is installed, it can also display information relating to the impact shield and battery.

Cloud S and Anoris S Airbag rotate 180 degrees towards the vehicle door, while Sirona S provides 360-degree rotation for rear and forward-facing use.

CYBEX Cloud S

Lie-Flat Comfort From Birth

The CYBEX Cloud S is the newborn car seat within the S-Line and is suitable from 40–87 cm, up to a maximum weight of 13 kg or approximately 24 months.

Outside the vehicle, Cloud S extends into a full lie-flat position. When installed on Base S, it provides upright and semi-reclined in-car positions together with one-handed 180-degree rotation towards the vehicle door.

CYBEX GrowTech combines 14 headrest positions, an automatically adjusting harness, removable growing pads and an included newborn inlay. The Comfort model weighs approximately 3.99 kg, while the Style version weighs approximately 4.1 kg.

Cloud S can also be installed without Base S using a compatible three-point vehicle seat belt. When belt-installed, it must be used in its upright position.

CYBEX Sirona S

Extended Rear-Facing Travel With 360° Rotation

The CYBEX Sirona S is a rotating toddler car seat designed for children from 61–105 cm and up to 20 kg, approximately three months to 4.5 years. It can be used from birth when fitted with the separately available S-Line newborn inlay.

Sirona S allows rear-facing travel throughout its approved range. Forward-facing use is permitted from 76 cm and a minimum age of 15 months, although CYBEX recommends rear-facing travel for longer where possible.

One-handed 360-degree rotation turns the seat towards the vehicle door, while magnetic belt holders and an Easy-In crotch pad help keep the harness accessible as the child is placed inside.

The seat combines Linear Side-impact Protection with an energy-absorbing shell. CYBEX states that rear-facing use provides up to 50% better protection than the same seat used forward-facing in its internal frontal-impact testing.

CYBEX Anoris S Airbag

Forward-Facing Safety With a Full-Body Airbag

The CYBEX Anoris S Airbag offers an alternative route after Cloud S for families choosing forward-facing travel.

Suitable from 76–125 cm, a minimum age of 15 months and up to 21 kg, Anoris S Airbag is designed to support children until approximately seven years old.

Instead of a conventional five-point harness, the seat uses a depth-adjustable impact shield with an integrated full-body airbag. In a frontal collision, the airbag is designed to deploy across the impact shield and provide a larger protective surface for the child’s head, neck and upper body.

The new Anoris S Airbag attaches to Base S and adds one-handed 180-degree rotation towards the vehicle door. Its adjustable impact shield, 12-position headrest and growing seat design allow it to adapt as the child develops.

CYBEX states that its airbag technology offers protection comparable with a rear-facing seat and up to 50% higher safety than a conventional forward-facing harness seat in the company’s internal frontal-impact testing. These figures relate to specific CYBEX test conditions and should be considered alongside correct fit, installation and vehicle compatibility.

CYBEX Solution S

High-Back Booster Protection Until Approximately 12 Years

The CYBEX Solution S completes the S-Line for children from 100–150 cm and up to 50 kg, covering approximately three to 12 years.

Its reclining headrest is designed to reduce the likelihood of a sleeping child’s head falling forward and leaving the protected area of the seat. Three headrest recline positions allow parents to adapt the support for travel and rest.

Twelve height settings are combined with automatic width adjustment. As the headrest is raised, the shoulder area widens to provide more room for the growing child.

Linear Side-impact Protection works with the energy-absorbing shell and headrest to manage side-impact forces. CYBEX states that the system can provide up to 25% more side-impact protection than the same seat without L.S.P. under its internal test conditions.

The child is secured using the vehicle’s three-point seat belt. ISOFIX connectors provide an additional connection between the booster and vehicle where compatible. Vehicle suitability should always be confirmed before purchase.

Comfort or Style: Which CYBEX S-Line Fabric Should You Choose?

The CYBEX S-Line is available in Comfort and Style fabric options.

Comfort models combine soft-touch upholstery with ventilation through the seat shell. They retain the principal safety, adjustment and ergonomic features of the relevant seat.

Style models introduce a more distinctive Platinum finish with two-tone leather-look detailing and breathable 3D mesh. CYBEX states that this fabric can provide up to six times more airflow than conventional materials while helping regulate moisture.

Selected Style seats also include an integrated XXL UPF50+ sun canopy. Any mesh window within the canopy is designed to support ventilation but is not UPF50+.

The choice between Comfort and Style does not change the approved height or weight range. It primarily affects fabric finish, airflow, visual detailing and selected comfort features.

CYBEX S-Line Replaces T-Line

The new CYBEX S-Line replaces the T-Line as the latest Platinum car-seat collection.

Cloud S is lighter than Cloud T and begins from 40 cm rather than 45 cm. Sirona S increases the maximum permitted weight from 18 kg to 20 kg, extending its approximate usage to 4.5 years. Anoris S Airbag joins the modular Base S system and adds 180-degree door-facing rotation, while Solution S introduces updated approval, revised side-impact protection and new Style fabric options.

The biggest range-wide improvement is the new Base S. Unlike Base T, which supports Cloud T and Sirona T, Base S can be used with Cloud S, Sirona S and Anoris S Airbag.

Existing T-Line seats remain suitable when used correctly and within their approved limits. However, families purchasing a new CYBEX Platinum car-seat system should choose S-Line for the latest design, approval and compatibility pathway.

Base T and Base S are separate systems. S-Line car seats are not listed as compatible with Base T, so parents should check every seat and base combination before purchasing.

Which CYBEX S-Line Car Seat Do I Need?

Choose the Cloud S for a newborn or baby requiring a removable infant carrier, lie-flat travel-system position and the flexibility of base or vehicle-belt installation.

Choose the Sirona S after the infant-carrier stage if you want extended rear-facing travel, an integrated five-point harness and 360-degree rotation.

Choose the Anoris S Airbag from at least 15 months if you prefer forward-facing travel with an impact shield and integrated full-body airbag technology.

Choose the Solution S when your child reaches 100 cm and is developmentally ready to use a high-back booster with the vehicle’s three-point seat belt.

The child’s height, weight, development, vehicle compatibility and fit within the seat are more important than approximate age alone.

We think the strongest feature of the new CYBEX S-Line is the choice it creates for growing families.

Cloud S provides a lightweight and more newborn-inclusive starting point, while Base S allows parents to decide later whether Sirona S or Anoris S Airbag best suits their child and approach to travel. Solution S then completes the range with a long-lasting high-back booster for the school years.

The move from T-Line to S-Line is therefore more than a change of fabrics or product names. It creates a more connected CYBEX Platinum car-seat system with updated approval, refined ergonomics and a clearer route from birth to approximately 12 years.
